I was chatting with my upstate neighbors last weekend. They are both in their eighties, he has been a farmer all his life. In fact he fell out of a tree last week doing some trimming work.
I tell you this only to set the stage. These folks are about as reliable country conservatives as you could ever hope for. I would doubt that they have ever voted for a democrat. But I sat in their kitchen and listened to them both simply wail on our president. I didn't even bring the subject up (being a polite democrat). They touched on all the points you see in the press. Dishonesty, incompetence, etc.
When our president has lost these folks, there can be no doubt that he is in a deep deep, possibly unstoppable tailspin.
